In July 2015, the community behavioral health center WellSpring Resources merged with Centerstone. Centerstone is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of community-based behavioral healthcare, offering a full range of mental health services, substance abuse treatment and intellectual and developmental disabilities services in Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee. We seek to prevent and cure mental illness and addiction.

Recent Achievements

Our recent accomplishments and honors include:

Centerstone was one of 13 organizations nationally selected by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to be part of the Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration (PBHCI) Program. The program aims to provide communities with improved access to primary care services, improved early detection and treatment of serious illnesses, and better overall health by combining behavioral health and primary care for high need populations.

Centerstone was selected to be a member of Mental Health Centers of America, a private group of select, nationally recognized treatment providers.

Centerstone received the Ellen T. Quinn Memorial Award for Agency Achievement, presented by the Community Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois.

Centerstone implemented Open Access, a program that allows immediate access to services, which has increased the number of persons served.

Centerstone was one of five organizations nationally to participate in a Depression Care Collaborative to provide the best quality care to those experiencing depression.

Centerstone was selected for the Trauma-Informed Care Initiative, a national learning collaborative to improve behavioral health care for those who have experienced trauma.
